Pea Coats- Everywhere I turn I see a new variety of the average pea coat. But this season, pea coats have taken a new turn for the better. Now having different extravagant buttons, embroidering, and new patterns and colors, they have evolved greatly from what they formerly were. These coats are not only for style but the ones I have seen and have tried on are really comfy. My pick for a good place to find a nice pea coat would be Forever 21.

Word Count: 694
Postivies: This posting was a lot of fun to read because of the different format. Also, you represented a large variety of styles.
ReplyDeleteCritisim: You forgot to include your word count, and you might want to consider adding some male fashion treands too.
I really like fashion number 9, its very creative and i would have never thought about that. I agreee with what jenny said about adding a male fashion trend, i think it would add so much more interest to your blog from both sexs!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like you're idea of how to set this up. Not to mention, it allowed you to use the word groove. I don't know about you, but that scores major points in my book. Plus, your encouragement to let girls (mostly because you mention heals and hand bags) be themselves instead of conforming to what other people want for them.
ReplyDeleteSome downsides to this were just your grammar. When you say that pea coats have "taken a new turn for the better," it feels like over kill. You really only need either "new" or "for the better."
For the next two, you simply forgot a comma, cuasing the reader to stop in attempt to understand what you mean. "These boots, like the boots on the left are very..." i think you mean "like the boots on the left, ..."
"As shown below there is fur inside, and even from looking at the picture you can tell they are extremely inviting." there should be a comma after and, as well as after the word "picture."
Lastly, (yeah, i know, i don't shut up) i think you just may want to rephrase these. In a way, they made me double take.
"One, they affordable, two, they are stylish and three, they go with just about any outfit." For this one, i think you should try to seperate each thought into a sentance. There are simply too many commas, and you could do so much more with each thought.
"The seventies are back. The new trend has millions living back in the 1970s for the new year." Here, i think you can just all together take out the first sentence. It seems very redundant; almost as if you had nothing else to say (which obviously isn't true based on the rest of your blog).
okay, i'm done talking now. other than those really little things, it was very well written.

It's rare to use a comma in front of the word "that". Does this sentence work better without the comma? "This season there are a few key inexpensive items, that can make your whole busy life seem so much easier and can keep money in your pocket..."

I love how you've added pictures and even done some pricing research! the look of your entry is spectacular!
Cut unnecessary words here: Now having different extravagant buttons, embroidering, and new patterns and colors, they have evolved greatly from what they formerly were.
Here's a good opportunity to use a colon to introduce a list: These boots, like the boots on the left are very in this season because of three reasons. One, they affordable, two, they are stylish and three, they go with just about any outfit.
Your ninth entry is very clever!
